Deicorp Hills Showground Station Precinct Project Gets Greenlight

Leading Sydney developer Deicorp has received approval for its 430-unit mixed use project adjacent to the Hills Showground Metro station. The project enhances the company’s already enviable roster of new developments for 2022 and beyond.

“Deicorp is honoured to be creating a project which directly improves the quality of life for the many residents who will work and play in the Showground Station Precinct,” stated Deicorp's founding Director, Mr. Fouad Deiri.

Leading Sydney developer Deicorp has received approval for its 430-unit mixed use project adjacent to the Hills Showground Metro station. The project enhances the company’s already enviable roster of new developments for 2022 and beyond.

This State Significant project underwent a stringent assessment process early last year and has since been signed off for approval by The Independent Planning Commission (IPC) after many months of diligence.

The first staging site for Deicorp forms a section of the Hills Showground Station Precinct project, which was conceptually approved in early 2021. At completion, the Precinct will accommodate up to 1620 new dwellings and almost 14,000m2 of non-residential GFA.

The now-approved Deicorp site consists of a 2 and 3 level retail podium housing a supermarket, specialty retail shops and several commercial areas below a series of four 20-level residential towers. An adjacent public plaza, which is fully accessible to all residents and commercial tenants, links the Hills Showground Metro Station with the whole of the precinct.

Transport Links and Connectivity are the Heart of the Project – Fouad Deiri – Deicorp Founder

In line with the Deicorp philosophy of connectivity to public and private transport links for all projects, the direct access to the Hills Showground Metro Station will deliver lifestyle and business benefits to all residents.

The project represents the second Metro/Landcom- development for which Deicorp has received approval and work is well underway for the first staging. The other Metro/Landcom project is the 987-unit mixed-use project at Tallawong in NSW.

Deicorp’s Founder and Chairman, Fouad Deiri was delighted to receive the final approval for the project, which was carefully assessed by The Independent Planning Commission. Mr. Deiri said Deicorp is delighted with the outcome and looks forward to creating yet another fully transport-connected development in a key Sydney precinct.

“To be creating a project which directly improves the quality of life for the residents, and the many people who will work and play in the Showground Station Precinct is an honour,” Mr. Deiri commented. “Connecting to one of the most important transport upgrades NSW has seen in many decades, we believe the Showground Station Precinct will offer convenience and phenomenal lifestyle benefits for both residents and professionals in this vibrant new village,” Fouad Deiri added.

Workers in the Hills Precinct are well Catered to with the Project – Fouad Deiri - Deicorp

One of the most important aspects of the project is to contribute to the supply of housing suitable for much-needed workers in key areas including teachers, medical professionals and emergency responders. Deicorp has noted that 5% of the apartment stock will be delivered as affordable housing. The project will achieve 5-Star Green Star “as built” status through clever design, being an assurance owners will benefit from high-efficiency build practices which result in reduced power consumption.

“With The Hills Showground Village project, we are set to provide a new mode of living in an already popular area of Sydney. Uniquely styled apartments with regional views and immediate access to cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and quality retailers; and all only meters from the Metro Station,” Mr Fouad Deiri offered.

The Deicorp foundation of focusing on the development of transport-connected residential and commercial projects has led to unprecedented growth for the company over the past 2 decades, marking Deicorp as one Australia’s most progressive and forward-thinking design and construct companies. Deicorp now sits in the top 10 group of construction companies in the country.

True industry leaders, Deicorp is the first developer in NSW to be rated under the State Government’s Independent Construction Industry Rating Tool (iCIRT), an accreditation highly sought and a guarantee of quality for all homebuyers in NSW. The accreditation has helped the company achieve its best year of sales on record with over 1,150 apartments sold in the past 12 months alone.

“The Showground Station Precinct is a perfect fit for young families, first home buyers and people who wish to live in an energetic new village environment. With all of the convenience and lifestyle benefits attached to this style of dynamic housing, Deicorp is fielding fantastic enquiry for the project.” Mr. Fouad Deiri stated.

“At Deicorp, we are proud to provide homes, jobs and connectivity to accommodate the needs and demands of yet another growing community.” Mr. Deiri added.
